After 40 years trading shares, a winning strategy is found

After 40 years trading shares on the stock market Brian Pozzi, a Perth based businessman, was initially skeptical of companies advertising different ways of making money trading shares.  Then three years ago he realised that it was easier to lose money than make it trading without a system and something had to change.

Pozzi said the secret to his success was learning how to manage risk and manage emotion when trading.

“Firstly, random stock selection or ‘gut feel’ is not a strategy that makes money.  Secondly, emotion is the enemy.  A system with rules about buying and selling helps to remove emotion away from your trading decisions.  Thirdly, disciplined risk management is the single most important ingredient in a trading environment,” said Pozzi.

This 63 year old retired business entrepreneur who most recently was the CEO of a food supply company is excited about his trading future.  Now Pozzi’s biggest challenge is making time to play with his 12 grandchildren, travel to Europe for a holiday and continue his trading passion.

“I believe I now have the necessary knowledge to benefit from the stock market, on a consistent return basis for the remainder of my life,” said Pozzi.
